Rainy Sunday

What could be better on a dark, dreary, rainy Sunday then to lay around and be LAZY. It is a stay in your pajama's, sit on the couch, watch tv kind of day...

Messy Face is 14 Months.

It is hard to believe but Griffin is 14 months old today.

Trevor's Birthday Party

Trevor had a great birthday celebration. He took a few of his best friends to the movies and then returned home for cake with his friends and family. Trevor said that this was his best birthday ever. Happy Birthday, Trevor!

Happy 8th Birthday, Trevor!

Happy Birthday, Trevor. We could not be more proud of you. You are a smart, kind, funny, energetic, sensitive boy. We LOVE you!

I wanted to post a baby picture of you, but 8 years ago we were not using a digital camera. The oldest picture I have of you on my computer is when you were 4. Here you are at Thomas the Train, your absolute favorite thing as a young boy.

An early Birthday present.

Today, Trevor got an early birthday present. Nana took him to buy a bike. He picked a sleek, shiny black bike. It is a BIG boy bike with gears and hand breaks. What a way to kick off an 8th birthday. Thank you Nana and Papa!

Those are not chocolate crumbs on Griffin's face. It is good ole dirt right out of the pot of a house plant. Griffin has taken to eating dirt... not sure why... maybe it tastes good. I just wish he could do it without the mess. Looks like it is time to move my plant and find something else to put on my side table. Hmmm, what could I put there that would not be enticing to a very inquisitive 13 month old explorer???

Trevor wanted chocolate and sprinkle covered pretzels for his school birthday celebration. They are festive and delicious.

Here is the almost 8 year old where he can often be found... on his laptop.

Our Neighbors

This evening out back was a beautiful family of deer. I tried to get as close as I could without scaring them. There had to be about 7 deer feeding on the side of the road. I find it amazing to look out back and see deer.

Griffin loves the kitchen trash. For weeks now, he has enjoyed removing trash and recycling from the bins. Today he has decided that he likes to throw things away. Unfortunately, the things he is throwing away are his shoes, my shoes, his sippy cup, toys, and the list can go on and on. Warning to all, before you throw something away in my trash, check to see if there are things that don't belong there.

Playing is absolutely EXHAUSTING.

Griffin fell asleep playing in his bouncer this morning. He must be one tired boy or playing must be really exhausting. After snapping a few pictures, I carefully lifted him out of his bouncer and put him in a more comfortable spot to sleep.

Happy Birthday, Nana!

Enjoy your day! We love you! Happy birthday. XOXOXO

The Police came to my door today...

All because of her. (CC as a puppy)
We never licensed CC. The officer came to give me a citation. While he was at the door, he heard some noise in my home. He asked me if that was my dog making the noise. I was a little annoyed with his visit and responded, " That is my 13 month old son, but I probably should not tell you that because I never licensed him either." Not surprisingly, the officer did not see any humor in my flip statement. I never really understood the reasoning behind licensing a dog other than for the town to make some money. I also have never lived in a town where an officer comes to your door to serve you a seven day notice for not licensing. Isn't there something better the officer could be doing with his time? I guess this year we will license our dog and seeing there is a $25 late fine for a $6 license, next year we will license her too (on time).

Spring is in the air?

Not sure what the weather will be like tomorrow, the rest of the week or the even the month but today I caught a glimpse of SPRING! We were in Massachussetts and the weather was beautiful. I am looking forward to the spring flowers replacing the snow.

I love overalls on babies.

Maybe this is the reason why...
It seems that Griffin's shirt always rolls up and his pants always roll down to expose his adorable, soft, perfect baby belly. Although I find this look quite charming, I am not sure it is appropriate for all settings, especially seeing that we live in New England. The weather can get rather cold and I am not sure how frost bite on the belly would feel.

Why I am lucky to have my boys...

Many times I have thought of how lucky I am to have the beautiful, bright, happy, healthy, fun, great children that I have. Tonight Nolan gave me a reason I had never thought of before. He told me that I am lucky to have the boys I have because they have a WII.

A boy and his dog.

Ski and Snowboarding weekend

We went on a family ski trip this weekend to Sunday River. We had a wonderful time. We could not have asked for more perfect ski weather. Trevor snowboarded and Nolan skied. I even went skiing. I have not been skiing in 13 years so I was a little nervous, but amazingly it came back to me. I just wish I was not so sore today. Here is Trevor boarding. Not a great picture, but it was really hard to get a picture of him because his instructor took him all over the mountain. He is really enjoying snowboarding. He keeps asking when he can go again.

This is Nolan skiing. Boy he goes fast. After his day long lesson, I skied with him. He beat me down the mountain twice. The kid has no fear. He is doing a great job skiing.
And here is Griffin just enjoying the snow. It will not be long before he joins us on the slopes.

We are missing our happy baby. He was last seem about 2 days ago wearing a big smile and a twinkle in his brown eye. If you have seen him, please return him. His family is not happy with what has replaced him and we have a big hole in our hearts for the sweet coos and belly laughs of the Griffin we know and love.

Griffin is sick with the Croup.

Over the weekend.

Nolan had his last hockey practice of the season. He loves hockey and really enjoyed it. He scored a goal at his last scrimmage. With a big smile I am putting the hockey gear away although, I am sure I will be excited to get it all out again in October.
SICK AND TIRED... Trevor has been sick since Thursday with a headache and fever. Nolan, well, he was just tired. It is rare to catch my boys like this.

I had to throw a cute picture of Griffin in here. He is getting big, moving fast and making many new sounds. He loves to listen to people on the phone and when the phones are all out of reach, a remote control doubles a phone.
