This week Kelly's Show Us Where You Live is all about playrooms. We have converted our never used dinning room into the boy's playroom. We removed the chandelier and replaced it with a standard light. We moved the formal dinning room furniture to the basement and the rug to the living room. We brought in all the boys toys but that is about as far as we have gotten. I should put some kid prints on the wall, maybe even replace the curtains. It is on that list. The room looks pretty uninspiring in its present state... oh well, it does not stop the boys from playing!
Anyways, here is Trevor and Nolan's playroom. This is a view with the french doors open from the kitchen.
This is the view looking into the kitchen.
Here is the enormous entertainment center with lots of their toys. Games are below in the closed cabinets. This is where they play the Wii or watch a movie.
I am a California girl living in New England. I have been married to the wonderful father of my children, Rob, since 1999. We have three active, fun, wild boys, Trevor, Nolan and Griffin, and one crazy dog named C.C. I am a full time mom and a part time Human Resouces professional. I love spending time with my family, taking pictures, monograms, reading, ruffles, watching football, shopping, margaritas, the color pink and a good glass of wine.
Trevor is our first born. He is independent, forgetful, focused, smart and sensitive. A night owl, he can often be found reading a book in bed until the wee hours of the morning. He is a soccer, reading and snowboarding loving boy. His charm and wit far belies his years. Caring and mature, he is wonderful big brother.
Nolan is our free-spirited, strong willed second child. He has his own agenda and things are done on his terms. To say he is obsessed with hockey is putting it lightly. Nolan is a lover of animals and a hockey expert. He is a casual kid, buttons are fancy according to him. He is affectionate and always willing to help. He has boundless energy and a spunk for life unlike any other.
Griffin is our baby, the third boy. He completes our family. He is curious, sweet and smart. He has an amazing vocabulary and love of math. His Godmother put it best when she said, "Griffin has changed the world with his brightness. So much so, that the world before his arrival is difficult to remember and a world without him is impossible to imagine." His big chocolate brown eyes and infectious smile melt our hearts.
