He Has Waited All Season.

And on the very last day of hockey, Nolan finally got what he has been waiting for.
He got to be GOALIE.
Coach chose Nolan to play goalie.
I missed it, but Dad said he did great.
He has always wanted to play goalie, but Dad and I discouraged it. He loved it and wants to continue playing goalie.
Nolan, you ROCK!

Kiss from a Moose.

What is a birthday celebration without a kiss from a moose?Trevor wanted to go to Bugaboo Creek for his birthday.

He loves, loves their chocolate cake,

but was not loving that I was taking pictures of him smooching a moose.

You can tell he is getting older, he can now be embarrassed by his mom.

A 9th Birthday Party.

Today we celebrated Trevor's birthday. We had a little party with family and a few friends. We had pizza (a request from the birthday boy) and a delicious Red Sox cake.He got a lot of great presents,

pretty much everything he asked for,

and the thing he wanted the most, a guitar.

He made a wish and blew out his candles.

Here's to another wonderful year!

Happy Birthday, Trevor! We love you!

Friday, Already?

I can't believe it is already Friday. Where did the week go? Hopefully soon, life will begin to settle down!

Nolan did great in surgery. Hopefully this will solve the problem and keep him away from the doctors for awhile. He does not do well with anesthesia and woke thrashing around crying for his brother. He also got very nauseous from the meds. Once the meds wore off, he was back to his old self.

Griffin has been napping so well in his bed (I almost don't want to say it, because it may jinx it). Today I even left him in his bed and let him fall asleep on his own. I only had to go into his room to put him back in bed once. He whined for a few minutes and then was out.He looked so cute cuddled up with his dog. I have been trying really hard to get him into some better sleep habits.

Finally, on Sunday Trevor is going to be 9 (unbelievable)! We are having a family party tomorrow to celebrate the big day.

Have a great weekend.

1 Down 2 to Go.

I finally took Griffin for a hair cut. He along with his brothers have been in need of haircuts. We have just not had any time for haircuts. Today while the boys were at school, Griffin got a cut. (Excuse the bed head and the bad picture, he was not in the mood!) Now I need to find the time to take Trevor and Nolan.

Tomorrow Nolan is having tube surgery. He has been having a problem with reoccurring ear infections along with some other ear issues. Hopefully after surgery tomorrow he will be feeling much better. He is very nervous but he is acting very brave! If you think of it, say a little prayer for him tomorrow at 8:15.

It is hard to Believe.

I can't believe that in less then 2 weeks, my first baby is going to be 9!

My Dear Trevor,
I remember your birth like it was yesterday. You gave me the greatest gift every, my life long dream of being a mother. The first time I held you I thought I could never love anyone more than I did you at that very moment. Oh, I was so wrong. That was just the beginning. I am so blessed to have you as my son.

I am so proud of you. You have such a thirst for knowledge. I love the way you research things solely for the purpose of gaining knowledge. Your determination and motivation have made you very successful. I love that you can be so silly yet so serious, absent minded yet so focused, stubborn yet so easy going. I look forward to seeing all that your future will hold. I know you can and will do amazing things!

I can't believe it has been 9 years since I held you as a sweet, soft, wrinkled newborn. And it is even harder for me to believe that in 9 short years I will be sending you off to college. The last 9 years have flown by and I hope the next 9 go by much slower.

In two weeks, we will be celebrating your 9th birthday and I could not be happier (and to be honest, there is a small part of me that is sad because it is all happening so fast)!

I love you,

Ski Weekend

We spent four fabulous days at a little cabin in the mountains. It was quiet (aside from the giggles, yells and energy of 3 boys), relaxing and a really great time. The cottage was adorable and the perfect size for all of us. Other than family and friends, the best part about it was the wonderful jacuzzi out back! Nolan loved hanging in the jacuzzi.
Trevor snowboarded and Nolan skied for 2 days. Saturday the weather was beautiful, a perfect ski day. Sunday (the second day of the boy's skiing and boarding) was not so nice. There was rain and sleet and freezing rain. The boys were soaked, but it did not stop them from having fun. They are both doing great. Trevor has been learning to turn on the snow board. He is loving snowboarding and says he is never going back to skiing. He is so determined and motivated to learn to ride. His goal is to start piping at 12. Nolan is learning to slow down. He flies down the mountain with his waist bent and his hands behind his back like speed skaters. It may look like he has horrible balance but the coach said he actually has excellent balance. He can put all his weight on his inside ski and not many skiers can successfully do that. Both of his coaches asked me if he was a hockey player because he ski's like a skaterGriffin watched. He was quite disappointed that he could not ski. We told him that next Winter he would be out there skiing, too.
We also went tubing in the evening but the pictures turned out really dark. Griffin so badly wanted to tube like the big kids. He sat in a tube and when we took him out he screamed. We had a great time. The boys are absolutely exhausted from the weekend. Now we are back to reality. We have hockey, work, Odyssey of the Mind practice, soccer and laundry!

After My Own Heart!

Look who is going to be a San Diego Charger fan...He is a kid after my own heart!

That means that I am 2 for 3. Two of our 3 kids are Charger fans (not that I am keeping score or anything. ha)! Sorry, Rob.
