A Birthday Celebration

Yesterday we celebrated
Trevor's 14th birthday!
He chose the dinner: scallops, shrimp, haddock and pigs in a blanket. We did the pigs in a blanket for an app and did the fish for dinner with salad and rice. It was delish! Great choice Trevor.
For dessert he chose cookie dough ice cream cake. He was as happy as can be with his big cake.
He got a Hazard soccer jersey he wanted, a Revolutions shirt, a new computer {for school next year at MSSM} and money {saving for a new iphone 6plus}. I would say he had a great birthday
and he is going to have an even better year.
Happy 14th birthday Trevor!

Happy 14th Birthday Trevor

Today is my smart, funny, silly,
caring, kind, sincere,

hardworking, witty, teenagery,
easy going, helpful, laidback

son's 14th birthday.
Happy, happy birthday Trevor!
There is are so many adventures in store for Trevor this year, lots of new experiences and challenges. I know Trevor will take it all in stride and give 100% effort.
Trevor never ceases to amaze me. I am so incredibly proud of my 14 year old.

Harlem Globetrotters

The boys went to their annual Globetrotters game.
This is a favorite activity for the boys and Rob and I know it is something they will always remember.
My mom usually gets them floor sets which are great and very interactive with the game.
Griffin chilled with Globie before the game began.

{Although there is no picture} Thunder sat next to Nolan and ate some of Nolan's popcorn. In return Thunder gave Nolan his wrist band.
Griffin got an autograph from {a family favorite} Big Easy.
The boys had a great time. Rob said Griffin laughed from beginning to end. I hope they can go again next year {but that will all depend on Trevor's school schedule}.

Tournament Champs

We had a great hockey year. Great parents, great kids, great coaching and a great winning season.

I could not have selected a better ending to the season. Nolan and his team won the Mid coast tournament, the final hurrah for the season.
They played 5 games and won 5 games.
The boys played clean, while other teams did not. They played hard and with lots of heart, just like they did all season long.
The hockey season is long and I am ready to have some free weekends but I will miss this team and parents. We have one final team celebration to look forward to and then we are moving on until hockey starts again in the Fall.

Griffin Lately

So I often say it, but Griffin is truly a character.

Tonight Griffin and I were talking  about Trevor going away to school.  I ask him what he will miss most about Trevor and he responds with he will miss Trevor's extraordinary soccer playing. And then he goes on to use the word inspirational.
The other night he had taken the rug in his bedroom and rolled it up. I asked him why he did that and he told me that he just did not like the rug anymore. Later Rob put it back down and he again rolled it up. He says he does not like it because it only has low numbers and he is much better at counting than what the numbers on the rug.
He recently went shopping with Gia and TG. He went in a store with TG and later told me that she took him in an all girls store that only sells girls stuff. She did buy him a "lipstick" {chap stick} that he really likes and has been using daily.
On Monday he got sent to the principals office for jumping in a puddle. I told him that I was sad that he misbehaved and had to go to the principals. His response to me, "Don't be sad mom. I like going to the principals office."

He is a smart little boy that is a handful.  He really keeps me on my toes. I smile and laugh everyday because of him.

Our Hockey {State} Champ

Last weekend Nolan and his amazing hockey team
competed in the State Hockey Championship.
The tied the first game and won the second and third game.
They entered the semi-finals as the first seed. Unfortunately, they lost this game to the team that ultimately won the title.
Nolan and his team came in third place. That is third in the entire state of Maine.
I am impressed.
It was another wonderful hockey season {that is not quite over}.

San Diego ~ Day 9

We spent our final day in San Diego doing what we love the most.

We played football on the beach,

Trevor and Griffin had a final dip in the jacuzzi.
Then we all headed down to Belmont Park.

The boys played in the arcade

and Ash and Trevor went on the Big Dipper.

My three favorite boys enjoying Belmont Park!

We had a great lunch on the beach at Draft.

After lunch and a little shopping, we headed back to the hotel to pack up for our return to reality. It was a wonderful week with some of my favorite people.
