Weekend with Trevor

On Thursday, my mom and I made the long trek up to MSSM to spend parents weekend with Trevor.

I had the opportunity to meet most of his teachers, which was great. This school is so different from our local school that it was good to get some perspective. Trevor is doing well. Most importantly, Trevor is very happy there.

I got to watch Trevor play in his varsity soccer game. The first high school game that I have been able to watch Trevor play in. Although they did not win, they fought very hard. It was so exciting seeing him play in a varsity game.

And the best thing about the weekend, was I got to bring Trevor home. He goes back to school on Tuesday, but it is so nice to have him home for a few days.

We all miss him so much, especially Griffin. He is glued to Trevor's side when his is home. It is so sweet but so sad all at the same time.

Weekend in review

We started the weekend by going a college hockey tournament.
It was great fun. Nolan had a blast with his buddy and one of his hockey coaches was working the game and gave them pucks and broken sticks.
Saturday and Sunday we spent at Nolan's hockey tournament.
The boys played with heart but ended up losing all of their games.
Obviously, they did not let that get them down.

After soccer we had family dinner and watched a little football.

Today we had to run a few errands. Nolan and Griffin had fun trying on hats and glasses.
All in all, it was a great weekend.

It would have been perfect if Trevor was around. I am still missing him a lot, maybe even more now than before. I am not sure why but I have been losing sleep thinking about him. He is happy which is great but I just feel such a disconnect.

Last Weekend

Last weekend was a busy, jam packed weekend,
but it was a great weekend. It was Trevor's first weekend home from school. I was so happy to see him.

We had a weekend full of soccer games. Trevor was kind enough to come watch his brothers games. They were so happy to have him cheering them on.
We took a quick trip to go apple picking, along with everyone else.
Of course, the weekend went way to fast.
After a few appointments and errands for Trevor, he was back on the bus to school Tuesday. It was so wonderful to spend time with him. I think saying goodbye this time was even harder than the first time.
The good news is that he is very happy there and was excited to go back to see his friends, although sad to say good bye to us.
