First Day of School

Griffin started 3rd grade.  I know, I know how is it possible. He has grown up so much. If only for one day he could be a sweet baby.
But instead he is a big third grader! He has now moved to the second floor of the school. He has a great teacher who sends lots of pictures and emails. He started the first day of school as the teacher assistant. Of course, he is loving that and was the first to do the mystery bag.
He is happy and I am so glad. It will be a great year for Griffin.

Nolan reluctantly headed to the first day of school.
He did not want summer to end and was not ready to start the school year. He came home saying his first day was better than he expected. He likes his classes and his teachers. Even though he had homework, he was happy with his day. I'll take it.

Trevor is in his second week of school. He seems to have settled in nicely. He is starting for the varsity soccer team. We miss him tons but know he is happy and learning so much!

Nolan is a Teenager

Nolan is thirteen!
We celebrated Nolan's birthday with a beautiful, fun weekend at camp.
Nolan's favorites were all part of the celebration: best friend, Margarita's, tubing, lots of attention, funny cards, great gifts. All good for this thirteen year old.
He is at the "don't take my picture" phase so I had to beg and plead for the few pictures I got.

Happy birthday and happy first teen year to Nolan.
You are one loved boy  teenager!

Moving Back up to School

Rob and I just returned home from moving Trevor into his sophomore year of MSSM in Limestone. And let me tell you, I may not be as nervous, but I was still super sad to say goodbye to my baby.
On the way up, he said he was a little nervous. I was so not expecting that and that was hard for me to hear. Part of me wanted to turn the car right around and take him home. I know MSSM is where he belongs and he is so happy there. Once we arrived at the school, his nerves were completely gone. He was happy to catch up with all his friends and settle in to what is sure to be a great year.
His room is much more spacious this year and he only has one roommate who is a friend of his. There room is arranged very nicely and his roommate is neat so I am sure it will force Trevor to be very neat.

As hard as it is to say good bye, I know he is the the perfect place for him. He has so many great friends and a sweet girl friend. He is challenged and being stretched and will be so prepared for college.
Our view of the sunset on our way back from dinner.
I am so proud of Trevor and all he has and will accomplish!
